Samsung T3 on MacOS Sierra

Since updating to MacOS Sierra, I get a "USB accessory using too much power" error and my USB-C port is disabled. All 4 USB-C ports show the same message. I just bought a highly rated J5Create C to C cable, but still get the error message. The drive did work under El Captitan -- and if you dig really deep on Samsung's T3 page, it looks like that is the last compatible MacOS for the T3. Anyone else have a different (better) experience -- and if so, what's the fix?

Hi,

Are you able to find/link/post that information? Looking online, it appears that the issue is the software used on it that has issues with macOS. People who just formatted the drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) GUID and never installed the Samsung software, don't seem to have a issue. I ran across one post which stated that once the software is installed, it creates an invisible partition which can only be removed using a Terminal script.
