Help! Trackpad not working correctly in Logic X...

I just upgraded to Logic 10.3.2 and am having a tiny, yet infinitely infuriating problem.  When I go to select a region with 3 fingers, it will highlight the region, but not actually "select" it.  That is, I have to also actually hard click (not tap) on the region for it to be selected and then be able to copy it or move it or whatever.  It's a tiny thing but is really slowing my normally quick pace of working. 

Anybody have a similar experience?  Any fixes?
