My wife has a iPad Air 2 & iPhone 6 which she uses exclusively. She does not have an iMac. Her Current Apple ID id @yahoo. She needs to change her Apple ID to @icloud. Is this possible? If so, how? Thanks, Bison

When you sign in to iCloud the very first time and create the iCloud account, that icloud email is immediately also registered as an AppleID. She can use it as such anytime she wishes. However, all of the accounts and data (FaceTime, iMessage, iTunes, App, iBook store purchases) remain with her currently used AppleID. She cannot transfer purchases or data between AppleIDs.

Why does she need to change her AppleID?  She can simply change the primary email she uses without changing any content of the service accounts linked to that AppleID by editing it at https://appleid.apple.com/ (although she cannot change it to her iCloud email as that itself is already an AppleID).

She wants to switch from Apple Mail to Spark but Spark cannot be iCloud activated because her @yahoo Apple ID is reject by her iPad &iPhone. She has been using @icloud with all her mil without a problem. Bison

There is no such thing as an iCloud activated third party email.  iCloud from Apple is Apple’s email Service.

If your wife wants to use Spark with her devices, just set up the Spark email account in iOS mail.  I have 11 email accounts in iOS mail, plus my iCloud account. But iCloud has nothing to do with your non-Apple email service(s) that you subscribe to.
