Redemption of a Gift Card?

I have an iTunes gift card from December 2016 and the instructions say to click on the redeem button at the bottom of the iTunes page.  I cannot find that button, and in another area, it is asking for a PIN in another area - I don't have the PIN showing on the card either?  How can I get this redeemed?   Thank you in advance.

Where exactly are you looking for the redemption button ? On a computer's iTunes you can use the Account > Redeem menu option e.g.

Or via the Redeem link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the store homepage in iTunes.

Or on your phone via the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app or bottom of the Music tab in the iTunes Store app
