Watch connects to 2016 MBP, except when connect...

My watch unlocks my 2016 MBP just fine, when on it's own... but when connected to my 27" display, it doesn't unlock now--it used to work just fine... anything simple I might be missing?

Yeah I've got all those things checked off... The strange thing is that it unlocked with using the display perfectly since the beginning, then just stopped.
