How do I "share" a song with a friend in iTunes...

On iOS, you can "share" a song with a friend by using the share menu (accessible by the ... selection). This option seems to be available in iTunes 12.7 under the "song" drop-down but is greyed out. Is there a way to do this? Or is this a placeholder for a future option?
