Ipad 4 has died from low battery and is showing...

My ipad 4 which has been reliable till now has suddenly hit a critical condition. I was using the ipad past the 5% battery mark as I thought id use it till it dies. a little bit of time passed since it went dead flat and i had put it into the charger, but I noticed that it wasn't charging it just displayed the low battery screen, anyways I decided to just leave it in the charger and wait till it turned on, half an hour later my ipad wasnt responding. There was no red low battery displaying so I thought it was charged enough. I began pressing the power button to try and turn it on bUT there was no apple logo. I tried a hard reset, pushing home and power button down but still nothing. I let it charge for about 10 hrs and it was still unresponsive. I have just got back home and my ipad is still unresponsive. I don't know what has happened or what i did besides running it flat, but one thing I've noticed is that when my ipad is charging, it makes and feint buzzing noise by the charger socket? it's probably nothing but I just noticed it anyways if anyone could help me out as I don't want to believe that it's dead I would appreciate it! please apple community
