Apple support from resellers?

I would like to talk about the service, or lack thereof for apple products in foreign countrys. As a loyal Apple customer, I love that the products have a longer lifecycle than the competing products, The great service apple provides directly to its customers, and the flexibility and user friendliness I have grown accustom to as an apple user. However After having my laptop stolen by some people from a more than likely less desirable country of origin, I am having some issues as a Mac user abroad. My professional life and my creative projects are all on hold until I replace my computer, however being forced to do so abroad is giving me some irritations. How should I change the world if, or when my laptop is stolen, I need to return to the United States to replace it? Luckily I backed up my work on my external hardrive shortly before my computer was stolen, But now that It is gone, it seems the same with the service I am accustomed to receiving from the Apple Store in the United States is gone as well, as I am limited to resellers who I assume are private contractors in a franchise to corner apple sales. These resellers are spotty in the customer care they give, Some being extremely understanding and compassionate, and some giving some serious pressure to buy, or leave kind of ultimatums. As an international citizen, having my contacts is extremely important to keeping my personal, and professional life moving in a positive direction. I find the apple stores in america are compassionate to these issues, so much that they provide every service to repair or replace damaged goods. While the resellers are under much more pressure and scrutiny to sell hardware and the service that they can provide to the end consumer is severely limited.
