auto brightness high sierra on restart

OSX High Sierra.

I go to settings and uncheck the auto-brightness box, but when I restart my machine, the system automatically turns auto-brightness back on.  Any suggestions on how to disable this?

Thanks. I use calibrated monitors for photographer retouching and this is a problem. 

High Sierra is beta software, you should not be posting about it here. Post your question in the developer forums as you agreed to when becoming a beta tester. https://forums.developer.apple.com/welcome

Same hier (iMac 27 mid-2011) and no better after nine betas.
