Can I turn on "Ask to Buy" for adults on my plan?

For Apple Music, can I turn on "Ask to Buy" for the adults on my family share plan?

Angel,

No.  Any adult member of your Family Sharing group can run up an unlimited amount of purchases on your credit card.

If there is some member in the group for whom you do not feel that level of trust, I suggest you remove them from the group per this guide:

This is the single biggest reason why I won't switch to Apple Music from Spotify.  Just doesn't make any sense to me.

You don't have to invite the people who won't pay their bill.

I'm new to Family Sharing, so how does this work in practice? All I want to do is share Apple Music with my family. Nothing else. So now when they go to download an app, my card is their default purchase option? I can't imagine this is what customers want. I'll see how it goes but I might need to switch to another service.

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account, unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you.
