macbook pro 2017 issue with 1080p @60Hz

Hello,

I have just bought

- a macbook pro 2017 running sierra 10.12.5

- a screen DELL P2715Q

- The apple adaptator : USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple

- An HDMI cable 1.4

With this set I am unable to get 1080p @60Hz. When I contact Apple support they say that mac supports this and the issue is with DELL screen. When I call DELL support they say the opposite.

I believe that both the issue is rather something causing the incompatibility of both.

Please help! buying such costly material and working with 1080 @30Hz is such a waste ...
