Unresponsive ipad with broken home button

Hi all,

My ipad Mini screen has frozen and become totally unresponsive. I can't do a hard reset as the home button doesn't work. I hooked it up to itunes to try to restore it, but it tells me I have to turn off Find My iPad first. Obviously I can't do that on the iPad itself as it's unresponsive. Is there another way to turn off Find My iPad? Or any other way I can restart/reset it?
