Drag Release Delay on MacBook Pro

Hi,

On my new 2017 MacBook Pro, I have enabled dragging "without drag lock". However, on releasing my finger there is a slight delay (~ 1 second) before the drag action actually stops.

Is there a way to remove this delay?
