will Sierra run on Mac Pro 2009 updated to 5,1 ...

The early 2009 Mac Pro I bought has been upgraded to MacPro 5,1 with 2 x 2.93GHz 6-core Intel Xeon processors. I believe I can upgrade now from El Capitan to Sierra, but want to check first to see if anyone can confirm this, and also ask if it can then be upgraded to High Sierra?
