My iPad mini sometimes crashes and is sometimes...

I have an iPad mini on iOS 9.3.5 with a capacity of 12.6 GB, a memory of 503 MB, a CPU of 1 Ghz Dual-Core Apple A5 and graphics of PowerVR SGX543MP2 that my sister got in America (the United States) in 2014.

For some reason, it's sometimes a bit slow and it sometimes crashes when I open certain websites or some of their pages and when I open certain apps and games or certain features that have some ads in them. Some (but not all) of these apps work better and are quicker when I turn the Wi-Fi off. I've tried deleting those apps and reinstalling them, quitting and relaunching them, turning the iPad off and on again, rebooting it (by holding the home and power buttons down for a few seconds), resetting only all the settings, erasing all the contents and settings (both after backing the iPad up of course), reducing motion (under Accessibility), reducing transparency, darkening the colours, reducing white point (all under Accessibility > Increase Contrast), downloading Memory and Disk Scanner Pro and repeatedly scanning both the disk and memory from the quickest to slowest speeds many times to no avail. I've even turned the Wi-Fi off when I play some games and this has sped them up and prevented some games but not all of them from crashing.

Does anyone else have the same problem as well and does anyone know how this can be fixed?
