MacPro 2010, freezes and restarts

Hello,

My machine is MacPro mid 2010 2 x 2,66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 32GB 1333MHz DD3, nVidia GeForce GTX 760 2047 (not 2048 lol) GB RAM.

Disk is OWC Mercury Accelsior PCIE SSD.

OSX is 10.12.6.

I use the computer for a music studio. Connected are two firewire interfaces (Metric Halo ULN8).

Sometimes when working on Protools computer freezes completely and then reboots.

I have noticed that this happens when I'm chasing some parameter on some graphics-rich plugin (maybe related to graphics, not sure).

Anybody can give me a hint to find out why this happens? If I find what is related to (Graphics? Cpu? Firewire) then I'll try to solve this somehow.

Give the following a try:

Disconnect all peripherals from your Mac Pro expect the keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Try running Protools to see if it still crashes the computer.
Try starting up you Mac Pro in Safe Mode.
- Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
Run an EtreCheck report and post it so that we can see if we can find any issues that may need your attention.
