I have Apple Watch Series 2 - OS 4.0 and AirPods Firmware V 3.7.2.  Previously the Apple Watch OS 3.0 was not able to take and make calls connected to Apple AirPods or any connected bluetooth headphones.  With the new OS 4.0 I see that my watch will present the button with the take on AirPods however when pressed the audio and mic are only on the watch.  Not sure if this is hardware issue on Apple Watch Series 2.  Maybe something I'm not doing right.  Sometimes I'd like to take  a call at the gym (watch on known wifi) (phone at home/in car) strange to have to take on watch vs. the AirPods that are in my ears already.  If Apple Watch Series 2 is not capable of taking call on AirPods the button to do so is at the least misleading.

Tried calls on WIFI calling and FaceTime calls while separated from my iPhone on know WIFI.
