Why restrict iTunes U to IOS

iTunes U is the best part of ITunes for me It allows me to access material on the go and facilitates a learning lifestyle To restrict it to IOS is seemingly unnecessary and requires an explanation by Apple as to how this benefits the customer and eventually the stockholder

No it's not restricted to iOS. iTunes U app is for Apple devices

iPhone, iPad, iPod touches,  iTunes U can also be access using Mac & Windows iTunes.
