Add fonts to Keynote?

At my company we use specific corporate fonts - is there a way to add these to the iPad for Keynote and Pages to use?

Unfortunately, no. Fonts on iOS are predefined. Custom fonts are defined by the app and are application specific. Short of you modifying the Keynote app bundle (which would break it), you can't add your own fonts.

No. Copied from this link.

iPad supports over 40 fonts and font families which can be used with iWork for iPad apps. When importing a presentation that uses a font not available on iPad, iWork attempts to replace an unsupported font with one that is a close match. If a close match is not found, the Helvetica font will be used instead. After the import process, fonts that were replaced are listed for review by the user.

Fonts available on the iPad include:

  • American Typewriter
  • AppleGothic
  • Arial
  • Baskerville
  • Bodoni 72
  • Bradley Hand
  • Chalkduster
  • Cochin
  • Copperplate
  • Courier
  • Courier New
  • Didot
  • Futura
  • Geeza Pro
  • Georgia
  • Gill Sans
  • Heiti J
  • Helvetica
  • Hoefler Text
  • Marker Felt
  • Optima
  • Palatino
  • Papyrus
  • Party LET
  • Snell Roundhand
  • Thonburi
  • Times New Roman
  • Trebuchet MS
  • Verdana
  • Zapf Dingbats
  • Zapfino

No, you might like to access Apple's feedback site to ask for that feature.

I have a similar problem.  There is a work around if you have a mac with keynote installed.  I create the presentation on my mac then save it as jpgs.  I then drop these images of the slides into a new presentation.  That way the text is actually an image.  If you need to amend the text you have to do it in the origial and then export the slide again but it does mean you can use any font you wish.

For everybody who is sick and tired of not being able to use custom fonts in their documents on their iOS devices I might have a solution.

I ran into similar problems and took this as my motivation to develop "AnyFont". With this little app you are able to install all the fonts you need for your presentations on your iPhone or iPad. So when your are using Calibri in your presentation and get the error message after importing it on your iPad you can use AnyFont to install Calibri on your device which makes the error message go away and lets you use Calibri in your presentation.

Let me know how you like it!

Perfect, installed app and 60 seconds later my font was working on Keynote.  Thanks

I have successfully added custom fonts to my iPad with the "Any Font" https://www.anyfont-app.com

in iOS 11 all but one of the added fonts remained in my font library I have not added any fonts since I only upgraded this evening.

i use these fonts mostly in presentations

Hey there "fschimake" just caught up with your post I emailed you about Procreate brushes trying to open in Any Font a few weeks ago!

I have been having trouble with loading the font that did not follow me through the iOS 11 upgrade.  Will follow up  direct.

Cordially, Peggy
