How to quickly read content of mail

It would be invaluable when reading or scanning through.....

A.....incoming mails in the Inbox

B.....content of mail boxes

to be able to read/scan/see a document...then to move onto the next on the list/index.

It is possible by deselecting the ‘classic display’.....BUT the content display is poor (especially the Mail box).....(the clarity of the classic display is much preferred)

I recall in my microsoft days, one tap on an arrow (down or up) produced in full the next mail/document to the display.

Is there a current answer...or...can this be incorporated into the Apple system.

Would appreciate help please

We are all end users just like you, Apple does not read or participate in these forums. There are multiple views you can use to read e-mail. I suspect you have not discovered them yet. Try Mail - Preferences - Viewing. Also please review Mail for Mac: Viewing preferences in Mail

If you would like to provide feedback for Apple, please do so at www.apple.com/feedback.

Thank you....followed your note....

not solved by Mail-Preferences-Viewing (had previously used this)

Mail for Mac...this immediately Displayed the set up i am seeking, ie...Mail Box List:Message List:Mail Viewer.

I can only get the first two....then have to open up the message to read....BUT I cannot see how to implement, ie how to convert my program to pick up the three stages on the screen.

Have looked at Viewing Preferences....but these were too complex for me to evaluate and process.

If possible, can you provide simple guide for me please?

Many thanks    Roger

Finally sorted....dragging* from side or bottom in the classic or NOT classic modes.     Apple support provided info.

* Had previously tried dragging from side but probably got it wrong...had been unaware of dragging from bottom.
