Since the recent update, iTunes keeps popping up the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPad because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter the passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes." on my Macbook Pro. Even after entering my passcode with the iPad, less than 5 minutes later the message continues to pop up. I have my iPad synced via Wi-Fi. After repeating for a while, the message won't go away even after hitting the Try Again or Cancel buttons.
