iPad mini Wi

Hi any iPad mini Wi-Fi version user, as per title, I'm reside in Malaysia and will going to Hong Kong soon, and I wish to buy iPad mini Wi-Fi version from there since no sales tax in Hong Kong so it will be cheaper there.

Heard some friends told me iPad Wi-Fi only version can claim warranty internationally because it is using same hardware across different countries compared to cellular version that will have different network band.
