different battery for orginal macbook air

I recently replaced my original macbook air battery with a newer model macbook air battery (OEM?) and its not booting up on battery power, in the system info it says that there is a battery installed and charging but when I leave it to charge after some time itll just say no battery detected

*Note: The original macbook air is using ios 10.5
