Undeleting a playlist on iPod

I would like to know how to "undelete" a playlist on my iPod.   Somehow with the sync or unsync (which was MY fault for not turning it off)  it was deleted.   This playlist belonged to my late brother.   His iPod was pretty beat up so I downloaded it to mine for later comparison to  my play list.   

Sorry there's no un-delete, unless you have a backup which you can restore from it.
