Is it worth it to upgrade the hard drive to an ...

I'm debating whether or not I should upgrade or just save my money and purchase a new laptop. I say this because I keep having issues with the hard drive cable and I've had the thing replaced two times now. At this point I feel like I'm kind of just sinking money into an aging laptop. What are everyones thoughts on this? Upgrade to an SSD or no? I've already upgrade to 16GB of RAM.
