Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular

IF I purchase an AppleWatch Series 3 Cellular, and THEN choose NOT to connect to a cellular network, can I still use the full capabilities of the watch (obviously sans cellular connection)?? Does owning a Series 3 cellular AppleWatch mean you MUST have an active cellular account to use the device???

You can use it without cellular, but the cellular features will not be available and will just function like a regular non cellular watch and will require the iPhone nearby for most functions.

As such, unless you plan on getting cellular service for the watch at some point in the future there's no point in buying the cellular version. You can get the non-cellular version and will do all the same things except it will require the iPhone to be nearby for them.
