Pencil not working with iOS 11 beta

In case anyone else was having the same problem, my Apple Pencil was no longer working with my iPad Pro 12.9 inch (1st generation) when I updated to iOS 11 beta. Althought my Pencil was fully charged and my Bluetooth was on, the Pencil would not show up as an available device and would not work while my iPad Pro was on the beta, even with the most recent beta release.

After downgrading to 10.3.3, my Pencil now works perfectly again.
