Internet not connected after resuming from sleep

I have a late 2016 MBP 13" w/ Touch Bar and am encountering internet connection issues when resuming from sleep.

I am still connected to the WiFi network when resuming from sleep, but no internet inquiries complete. I am required to disconnect/reconnect to the WiFi network to fix this problem, or rather, renew the DHCP lease.

Any suggestions on how I can mitigate this from happening?

Ive have had to disconnect then remove the Wifi from the list under preferences then wifi then advanced then click on the wifi SSID (your wifi) under preferred networks then click the - button to remove then ok then apply, then reconnect to you wifi and put in the password again,

this was after a router firmware update! also cures intermittent wifi printing too.
