We lost our app store on itunes

Why did they remove the app store from Itunes?  As a Senior I do not want to upgrade to 10.12.2.  It gets to confusing to constantly upgrade, and then they do this to us.  I am somewhat techish, but at my age, I do not want to have them constantly upgrade my software.
