Library problems when reverting back to 12.6

I had installed 12.7, hated it and couldn't interface with my Apps so went to revert back to 12.6.

I had already backed up my library when using 12.7.

>I took the library file and renamed it to a different folder

>Uninstalled ITunes 12.7

>Reinstalled iTunes 12.6

Now iTunes won't open because it says the library was created with another version.

How can I get my latest library back and still revert back to iTunes 12.6?

Thanks for help. Pretty disappointed in the major changes to the program in the quiet 12.7 release, without a clear path to revert back to 12.6.
