Folders

My problem in macOS Sierra 10.12.6 when i open a folder and want to leave that folder open when i open a second folder that second folder now becomes the dominant opened folder.  How can i open several folder and have each one stay open so that i can compare them or even move contents from one folder to the other.

Hi Mac Midiguy,

If you right click on your finder icon in the dock, you can select 'New Finder Window'. You can then put the two windows next to one another with two folders open at once.

Hope this helps.

Each time you open a folder the most recently opened will be the one in 'focus'. You can open as many folders as you wish, if you want to shift focus just click on the folder you want.
