update the mac os system

Guys,

     I have a macbook pro 2012 mid, and while I was trying to update my system to OS X 10.13 High Sierra. A series of disaster took place. It took me a whole day retrying the installation, but it stuck at the last minute -- I saw the log and it was about retrying some failure for about nine times, so I decided to give up. I reboot my computer and pressed shift-command-option-R while starting, and rewind the system to OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion.

     I felt familiar with the old layout, but soon I had more problem. I tried to install a newer version of OS X, since many applications are not compatible with 10.8.5. But while I was trying to sign in the app store with my apple id, it says I my password is incorrect and I failed trying for too many times. However, the apple id is fine in my iPad and in this website. So I decided to download the `.dmg` file from support.apple.com and install them manually, however, it says the file is damaged and can't be opened, and I should move it to trash. What's worse, I found out that every Disk Image file, and every single file that newly download file is said to be broken. However, I can open them in another computer. That is really frustrating. I could figure out another way so I decided to ask for some support.
