cant hear siri on watch

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you cannot hear Siri on the Apple Watch 3. I would recommend you read this article, you can choose when Siri speaks. 
 

 

Choose when Siri speaks

On Apple Watch Series 3, you can choose when Siri speaks:

  1. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Siri.
  2. Choose an option: Always On, Control with Silent Mode, or Headphones Only.

Siri speaks using the selected voice on your iPhone. If Siri doesn't speak, your Apple Watch needs to download the voice. The download happens when you’re on Wi-Fi and your Apple Watch is charging. This can take a while, so you might need to do this overnight.

Hello! thank you for your reply.

 

i have resolved the issue.

 

i had English (Ireland) as my Siri voice on my iPhone.  it is not supported by the watch.  once i reverted to English (United States), Siri speaks.

 

the watch doesn't indicate the voice is not supported when you originally pair it.  if i try now to change the language, a message appears to warn of the issue.
