When to turn OFF Apple WIRELESS Keyboard and Mouse to save battery life? If not used for hours? Overnight? If not used for several days? Months? Years?

For instance, in the case of new Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad & Magic Mouse 2.

Shut them down if you don't plan to use them for more than a few days. Less than that I wouldn't bother.
