Mac Mail Trash not archiving in Mail or iCloud
Mail and iCloud seem to be a perpetual headache for me. I have the settings set correctly across my computer, iCloud and iPhone, but it never quite syncs up right.
I realized tonight that even though my Mail and iCloud preferences are set to never delete trash (it saves forever, including being set to save on the server forever), the trash in my Mac Mail app on the computer only goes back 1 week. I checked on iCloud through a browser and the same thing is true there. On my iPhone, I have tons of trash going back forever - but only if I deleted that email on the phone itself. iCloud is set to sync mail on all devices.
I'm running the most recent El Capitan and iOS on the iPhone 6.
I tried rebuilding the Inbox on my computer's Mail app, but that didn't do anything.
No rules are set that would put the trash somewhere else. It's also not in an archive folder. So the question is... if my preferences are set to save deleted items on the server forever, where are they?
Stumped,
Kirby
