iTunes 12.7 Painfully Slow To Load & Use In...

iTunes 12.6 is without a doubt my most stable experience of iTunes, so I thought removal of apps so it focuses purely on music in 12.7 would be a good thing, unfortunately not so far

 

Loading or scrolling iTunes 12.7 in album/most recent view mode can take anywhere from 15-30 seconds of the spinning beach ball before anything occurs, this repeats with each additional scroll. My library is 2000+ albums in ALAC format on a 1GB link NAS system (yes I know Apple recommend against) but outside of opening iTunes in song view, iTunes is now painfully slow. Art cache rebuilt to no avail.

 

Suggestions on resolving or is it a case of sit tight using song view and hope a future revision resolves?
