Why is recently added view showing old albums?

If I look at the "recently added" view of music in iOS, it displays properly - the most recent things I've added to my library appear in chronological order. In iTunes, it's always showing random old albums under "today" view. These are albums that have been in my library for months or years already. Anyone else have this or know a fix?
