Have macbook pro. Cancer log in

Tried to log in. Won't take my password. Can't get in to charge. Screen is grey. I have followed the steps on the screen but I keep getting the message wrong password. Every thing is dead including the charger.

If everything is really dead a wrong password seems like a minor issue. I sure hope you have a backup.

Can you boot in Safe Mode? You must press the Shift key right after powering up the Mac until you see Apple logo.
