MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2010 external monitor
I have a MacBook Pro 17" Mid 2010 to which I attached an HP LA2205wg monitor via a display port. The Mac doesn't show the HP in System Preferences > Displays. However, the message "Check cable connection" appears on the MAC's when I unplug the cable. This to me indicates the Mac must see the monitor.
Question: How do I make the Mac display on the monitor?
