Cannot view Apps in iTunes backup after updating

I used to be able to view my iPhone and iPad Apps in an iTunes backup. The Apps are no longer in the drop down menu since updating iTunes to v12.7.166. Is this a setup issue or has something changed.

Yes, version 12.7 does away with the App Store and any app management functions.

Apple removed that functionality.

In particular see the Manually add items from your computer section of Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support. This can be used to copy apps, books, and tones from your computer to your device. The File Sharing feature for copying data between apps and the computer is still there.
