Watch Series 3 Siri voice is not downloading

From the support page I gather that the watch needs to connect to wifi (not bleutooth) and the watch needs to be charging for the Siri voice to be downloaded from my iPhone.

I left it overnight, but still my Watch has no Siri voice.

In the Watch Siri settings, it still displays waiting to download.

I must be doing something wrong, would anyone please give me some tips on how to get the Siri voice in my Watch ?

Siri Speaks is not available all languages:

• Siri Speaks

To check that a supported language is set for Siri on your Apple Watch, check your Siri settings on your iPhone:

• On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Siri & Search > Language

Then follow the instructions here to download the Siri voice to your Apple Watch, ensuring that your Apple Watch or iPhone are connected to the Internet: 

• Use Siri on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Note that Apple suggests leaving your Apple Watch charging overnight in order to download the Siri voice.

I had already reviewed those pages, which is why I thought I might have done something wrong...

I am using a Dutch version of Siri, which is available it seems and my Watch is able to connect to wifi (I verified by turning off bleutooth on my iPhone, after which the Watch showed the wifi icon).

I left the Watch charging overnight, next to my iPhone, both plugged in and charging, but still no voice appears on the Watch.

Maybe she's just shy, sleeping beside an iPhone she just met today...

I'll leave them alone for a few days and see what develops :-)

I suggest leaving both devices connected to power, leaving Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on your iPhone and leaving your Apple Watch connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.

Hello Jonathan, I tried as you suggested this night, but still no voice inside the Watch.

I'm starting to think that my Voice language is wrong. I'm using "Dutch (Belgium)", but there is also a "Dutch (Netherlands)".

In the list you linked to above, there is mention that Siri speaks is available in the Netherlands, but not Belgium...

I'll try to set my iPhone to "Dutch (Netherlands)" and see if it helps (and if I can live with the language differences...)
