I disabled icloud photo sharing and around 200 ...

I reformatted my phone a month ago and tried out icloud photo sharing for the first time. I recently went on a trip a few days ago and, as of today, had around 2000 photos on my library. Got a warning that my storage was full and, not really paying attention, opted to disable the icloud photo sharing option without checking the message beforehand. I immediately went to my favorites folder and saw photos disappear as I was on it. Went back to main photos folder and saw the number go from almost 2k to around 1800 right before my eyes. Freak out and go though photos and saw photos particularly from my trip disappear. I took photos during three particular days and the photos that were deleted were specifically all the live + hdr photos of the second day and some of the live + hdr photos of my first + third day. My screenshots + saved ig story photos + edited photos + square photos were there. I go to icloud.com thinking to just send photos that were deleted on my phone but they're not there either. How/why did this happen? Is there any way to get them back? 

If you checked the Recently Deleted folder at www.icloud.com and they aren't there, it's possible they may be gone unfortunately.
