1st generation iPad and iTunes no photo sync op...

Hi all,

I've searched this but I can't find an answer to my question.   I have a 1st gen iPad and the latest version of iTunes.  I went to sync my iPad today and there wasn't a tab for photo options like there used to be.   When I switched to sync my iPhone 5 with the latest version of iTunes the photo option appeared.  Does this mean 1st generation iPad is not compatible photo wise with iTunes anymore?   I'd like to take off some photos on my iPad and add some other ones and there isn't an option for it.

Any help would be VERY appreciated.

Thanks!!

Switch computer iTunes Sidebar on in iTunes > View > Show Sidebar.

Connect and select iPad in iTunes Sidebar and you will see the Photos tab.

Are you literally trying to transfer the photos from iTunes on your computer, or are you somehow trying to transfer photos from your iPhone to your iPad?

You will not be able to transfer photos from your iPhone to your iPad because of the iOS version differences.  See https://support.apple.com/kb/TS3682

But if you are in fact using iTunes, then ckuan's comments should help you.

Thanks, CKuan.  I'm going to try what you suggested.   SBerman, in the past when I connected the iPad there was always an option of what photo albums, etc you wanted to import into  your iPad, I guess via iPhoto or whatever way it was done.   This time when I connected the iPad the little photo tab was missing and I couldn't get rid of albums or delete albums of photos.   I'm going to try CKuan's suggestion and hope it works.

Thanks everyone!!

You're welcome.

Thanks so much!!   It worked!

I have this issue as well.  I tried the Ckuan's fix but it didn't work.  Any other suggestions?
