Now playing is not working os4

So Now Playing disappears after a second or 2 of your watch and the apple music section replaces it with an old paused song you had before. I can't see the Now Playing complication update either.

I think this is a major bug since it takes away functionality from allowing me to skip the song that is playing from my phone since I can't see it anywhere after I hit play on my phone.

I don't mind it having limited functionality but some functionality is needed to pause play and skip music. Not to mention volume.

Any help here?

The Now Playing app for other audio sources is separate to the Music app.

 

When playing supported audio on your iPhone (whether via the Music app or a third-party app), Now Playing is shown automatically in the Dock on your Apple Watch and can be used to control playback on your iPhone.

 

If desired, Now Playing can be added to the Dock permanently and/or added to a watch face as a complication.
