ICloud makes my iphone Storage Full

Recently I added ICloud 50GB to my subscription plan. I intend to use it as a storage for my Mackbook Pro (Late 2016 Model). I have stored some documents from my Mac in the ICloud and intend to use it as a drive.
The problem Im facing is this, I cleanup my iphone(5S) and the storage available shows as 2.5 GB (approx.) and then as soon as I edit any document in the ICloud from my Mac, it creates something like 'TextInput' in the ICloud, which doesnt seem to be large from storage info that I see(just some KB), however my Iphone runs out of storage. Now I have tried it few times and when I delete the TextInput from the ICloud, I notice the storage comes back to normal.
