Placing songs in iTunes Playlists

I hate iTunes, but I've never gotten around to replacing it, so I'm stuck with it until I do. Anyway, the thing I most hate about it is that it keeps changing, and that makes it difficult for me to use. Right now, I found that one of my Playlists is missing, so I have to recreate the file and refill it with songs. I have made a replacement Playlist. Now I have to refill it. By using Spotlight, I finally found all of the songs--I think. They're in different places. but I think all of them together contain the songs that iTunes lost.  Now I have to put them in the Playlist. How do I do this? I have found 13 of them in one place, but when I right click, I don't get the option to move to playlist. How do I do this?

In iTunes, Select the Playlist you want to add songs to, click Edit Playlist, Drag the songs you want to add into the right hand column.

Where did you find them? In iTunes or in the Finder?

Regardless, it works the same in both. Just drag the selected songs into the Playlist header in the list.

If they have not been imported, they will get imported and put into the playlist.

The Finder contextual menu doesn't manage music, iTunes does.

The option to add to a playlist only appears in iTunes, not the Finder.

Contextual menus are finicky, but Drag-and-Drop has worked for 30+ years.

That did it. Thanks. Now, next time iTunes loses them, I'll be ready. I just noticed that I also have the Playlist on my iPad, so I'm now ready for anything iTunes throws at me.

Thanks.

One more questiion. I just found some songs in my iPad Playlist that should also be in my iMac Playlist. How do I move them there?
