so how do applications get updated?  No mo...

I'm guessing on the iphone or ipad themselves versus on the laptop?  Not sure if I like this update.  Some of us are not into the music side - but want apps updated and want to be able to update on laptop.  Thinking about it maybe it does not matter as long as the unit with apps recognizes need for update.  Any thoughts?

With iTunes 12.7 you have to do the app downloading and updating directly on each device - those that need updating should show in the Updates tab in the device's App Store app.
