What is the exact text of the message ? Validation rules can change over time, though a card might have been accepted in the past it doesn't mean that it will continue to work. If the cards are debit cards that might be why, they seem to be being accepted less than they used to be.

 

For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account (the cards that you've tried still are ?), and have been issued by a bank in the country where you are (and therefore the country which is on your iTunes account).
