Upgrade to 2017 iMac

Hi, I've been using a 2010 27inch core i3 iMac with 8gb of RAM and a standard 5400 hard drive since new. I've not used another iMac since. I've just ordered the 2017 21 inch 3.4ghz model with 16gb ram and 512 SSD. I'm hoping i will notice a big difference with my photo editing.

Has anyone used the new SSDs are they good for photo editing, will this be a big improvement for me?

1 word...SPEED! Where....in boot-up time, shutdown time, app loading and shutdown time, file opening and shutdown time. Editing well speed may be improved depending on what you are doing.
