iTunes updated to 11.0.2 and I lost everything ...

I updated to iTunes 11.0.2 last week and lost everything (Apps, music, playlists, etc).   After hunting around the support forums I figurered out to how to restore the library (I still have the files on my NAS drive) as well as all my playlists, movies, TV shows, etc.   The problem is, iTunes loses it all every time I exite the program and start it again.  I have tried the fixes for the updated preferences files.   I have tried uninstalling the program and starting over from a new install.   nothing I do seems to work.   I can restore the library to the correct location and reload everything on my NAS, but when I exit, the preferences all go to the default settings and the default iTunes library locaiton (C:Users\me\my music\iTunes)

Has anyone else had this problem with the most recent update and had any success fixing it?   Is it a registry problem?   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running on a Windows 7 computer, 64 bit OS, 64 bit iTunes.

I lost all of my songs that I did not purchase from ITunes. All playlist have disappeared as well. I probably lost 2,000 songs. I have not been able to recover them as of yet.
